We embraced the season of giving this month with our annual United Way Workplace Campaign. Each year, we host a workplace campaign encouraging employees to donate to the United Way of the Mohawk Valley, an organization committed to improving our communities. Its mission is to better people’s lives through programs that are focused on the building blocks of a good quality life – education, health and income stability.
This year, our goal was not just to celebrate the holidays but to spread joy and support to those who need it most. With this in mind, we launched our campaign three weeks before Thanksgiving. We held a kick-off presentation at our headquarters office where employees had the chance to learn more about the great initiatives the United Way has going on. From establishing affordable, high-quality daycare to its Emergency Food and Shelter Program, the United Way is a pillar of hope for countless people in the community.
From the outset, our team was determined to surpass previous years’ achievements. Our company also supported the campaign with giveaways and incentives to entice employees to donate, including a night at a Utica Comets hockey game in the AIS Suite! Little did we know that our collective effort and commitment would lead to an impressive result—raising more than $7,200 for those in need. It’s because of the support of employees like the ones we have at AIS that the United Way can continue changing lives for the better.
A heartfelt thank you to every AIS team member who contributed to our campaign. Your generosity will have lasting impact and together, we have demonstrated the true meaning of the season. Here’s to a joyous holiday season and a new year filled with continued acts of kindness and giving!
