Dr. Richard Hughes has been promoted to Operations Manager at AIS.
In this position, Hughes is responsible for the Strategic Accounts Office (SAO), Signals Intelligence Exploitation & Analysis (SEA) and Operational Concepts teams. Prior to becoming Operations Manager, he was a Program Manager in the SAO.
Hughes is a retired Air Force Acquisition Program Manager for programs involving Command and Control at Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) and Foreign Military Sales for air traffic control radars and aircraft avionics upgrades for C-5s and KC-135s at Hanscom AFB. He was also a prime contract Program Manager for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) AWS cloud transition and was a Department of Defense (DoD) Level III Program Manager.
Hughes has a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
