AIS is pleased to share the following staff announcements:
Adam Dailey — Vice President of Operations
Adam Dailey has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. In this role, Dailey leads operations across the Rome division’s programs and business activities, with responsibility for program execution, financial performance, workforce development, customer engagement and strategic growth. Dailey most recently served as Business Director of the Trusted Systems Business Unit at AIS.
Prior to joining AIS in 2024, Dailey spent more than eight years with Booz Allen Hamilton, progressing through engineering, program and business leadership roles, including Principal Investigator, Program Manager and Chief Engineer, and ultimately serving as Senior Associate and Chief Engineer.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to build on the strength of our teams and the work they are doing for our customers,” said Dailey. “My focus will be on developing our people, strengthening how we execute and positioning the division for continued growth while staying grounded in the mission and customer relationships that have made AIS successful.”
Georgia-Raye Moore — Business Director
Georgia-Raye Moore has been promoted to Business Director. In this role, Moore is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and operational effectiveness of the Cyber AI Business Unit, fostering research and development (R&D) and delivering state-of-the-art solutions and professional services. Moore most recently served as Senior Program Manager at AIS.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to bring together the strength of our Cyber and AI teams to tackle novel, mission-focused challenges for our customers,” said Moore. “As both areas continue to evolve rapidly, I’m looking forward to helping our teams translate innovative research and technical capabilities into meaningful solutions with real mission impact. Most importantly, I’m excited to invest in our people, strengthen our customer partnerships and build on the momentum we’ve created to position the business for continued growth.”
Salvatore Paladino — Vice President of Strategic Accounts
Salvatore Paladino has been promoted to Vice President of Strategic Accounts. In this role, Paladino leads enterprise-level relationships with key federal customers, ensuring the alignment of company capabilities with mission priorities. This role drives long-term account growth by orchestrating strategic planning, complex solution development and contract expansion to achieve successful mission outcomes. Paladino most recently served as Business Director of Strategic Accounts and Director of Cyber Research and Development at AIS.
Prior to joining AIS in 2013, Paladino worked as a technical project manager at ITT Advanced Engineering and Sciences as well as a cybersecurity analyst at Dolphin Technology. He has been published on more than 15 occasions, has testified before New York State judicial bodies as a cybersecurity expert and has been an adjunct faculty member at Utica University since 2010. He also serves as the board president of the Erie Canal Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
“I look forward to the opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and forge new ones with customers across the Department of War (DoW) and Intelligence Community, all of whom face complex, global challenges daily,” said Paladino. “In this role, I hope to foster close collaboration and cooperation to continue delivering world-class capabilities to the warfighter.”
Douglas Schafer — Vice President of Business Development
Douglas Schafer has been hired as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Schafer will set AIS’s growth vision and drive long-term strategy by aligning market expansion, opportunity capture and strategic investments with corporate objectives. He will guide market expansion across DoW, USAF, Intelligence Community and emerging federal sectors.
Prior to joining AIS, Schafer held executive and senior leadership positions across both large and small businesses, spanning strategic growth, business development, operations and program execution. He brings extensive R&D leadership experience from his ten years with the Air Force Research Laboratory, where he progressed from Program Manager to serving as the Principal Cyber Adviser and the USAF representative to the OSD Cyber Community of Interest.
Schafer also continues to serve in the U.S. Air Force as a member of the 152nd Air Operations Group, New York Air National Guard, where he has held roles including Information Warfare Division Chief, Squadron Commander and Director of Cyber Forces in two major theaters of operation.
“My passion is teaming with our key stakeholders and the AIS team to solve the significant and emerging challenges facing our nation,” said Schafer. “I approach this responsibility head on by leading and enabling our world class professionals, building trusted and honest relationships and co owning the problems we tackle with our total force team.”
Cheryl Valenti — Director of Human Resources
Cheryl Valenti has been promoted to Director of Human Resources (HR) at AIS. In this role, Valenti will assume responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and strategic direction of the HR team. Valenti most recently served as HR Relationship Manager. Valenti holds her SHRM-SCP.
