AIS is proud to once again sponsor “Aviation is a Team Sport,”
a STEM camp offered by CNY Drones that will take place August 4–7 from 12:30pm–4:30pm, as part of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) Summer Spotlight Series. This sponsorship makes the camp free for all participants, supporting hands-on STEM learning for local youth.
“This initiative offers students a unique and exciting opportunity to engage with cutting-edge drone technology while building critical STEM skills,” said Charles Green, CEO at AIS and SUNY Poly alum. “AIS is proud to return as a sponsor of this SUNY Poly camp for a second year, continuing our investment in the future of engineering and innovation. We firmly believe in the power of hands-on learning and collaboration, and we’re honored to support a program that inspires and prepares students for successful careers in STEM.”

The action-packed Official U.S. Drone Soccer Association STEM camp, open to kids 12-18 years old, blends robotics, aviation and competitive team play. The immersive program goes beyond the ordinary, teaching students to build, program and fly professional-grade drones in a thrilling 5 vs. 5 full-contact aerial sport. Aspiring engineers will gain hands-on experience, collaborating with teammates to solve engineering challenges and engaging in team flight operations within a secure, netted enclosure.
“We’re deeply grateful to AIS for their continued partnership with SUNY Poly,” said John Reade, Director of Pre-Collegiate Outreach. “Their support provides local youth with a valuable STEM experience while helping them build the technical skills essential to careers in the aviation industry.”
