Assured Information Security (AIS) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with a ceiling of $151B.
SHIELD is a multiple-award IDIQ contract vehicle designed to allow MDA and other Department of Defense entities to rapidly compete and deliver innovative capabilities with increased speed and agility. The contract encompasses a broad range of work areas supporting the rapid delivery of capabilities to the warfighter.
“AIS is honored to be selected as a contract holder for the Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD IDIQ,” said Scott Robidoux, Chief Operating Officer at AIS. “SHIELD is structured to support a broad range of work areas and enable rapid competition across the Department of Defense.”
The SHIELD IDIQ is structured as a flexible enterprise contract vehicle. Performance may occur across the United States, with work continuing through December 2035 if all options are exercised.
The contract was competitively procured via the System for Award Management (SAM.gov), with awards made to qualifying offerors in accordance with the terms of the solicitation. MDA, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
