I attended Modern Day Marine 2026 in Washington, D.C. on April 28–29 to engage with Marine Corps stakeholders, participate in modernization and acquisition discussions and evaluate how AIS technologies align with evolving operational priorities across cyber operations, communications and AI-enabled mission support.
The event brought together leaders from across the defense, government and technology communities to discuss the future of the Marine Corps and broader joint force modernization efforts. Throughout the conference, I connected with representatives from Marine Corps Systems Command, Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command, Fleet Marine Corps communications elements and industry partners focused on advancing operational capabilities in contested and distributed environments.
Across nearly every discussion, several themes consistently emerged: accelerating capability delivery, improving interoperability, strengthening resilient communications infrastructure and integrating AI-enabled technologies into operational environments. These priorities strongly align with the work AIS is already doing to support government customers through advanced cyber capabilities, trusted systems and mission-focused technology solutions.

I also had the opportunity to discuss alignment between AIS technologies — including SecureView™ — and ongoing modernization initiatives focused on mobility, operational flexibility and secure access to mission systems from virtually any location.
Building Relationships and Identifying Future Opportunities
Events like Modern Day Marine are valuable because they provide direct visibility into the operational challenges and technology priorities shaping the future force. Attending on behalf of AIS helped reinforce how our technologies and expertise continue to align with the mission needs of the Department of Defense and the broader national security community.
