About Us

History

AIS was founded in 2001 as a software company focused on critical Air Force and Department of Defense cyber technology requirements research. We staffed and operated the Adversarial Sciences Laboratory within the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Information Directorate in Rome, NY, handling all areas of cyber operations.

Since then, we have grown to become a national leader in this highly dynamic and emerging field, supporting customers throughout business, industry, and the federal government. We have offices in Rome, NY; Greenwood Village, CO; Portland, OR; Beavercreek, OH; Linthicum, MD; and Burlington, MA.

Through our affiliation with the U.S. DoD, we have nurtured unique relationships with a broad customer base, and contributed significantly to national cyber requirements. Equally important, we have built strong collaborative ties with other defense contractors, and more than a dozen highly regarded universities.

As a growing business, we continue to build our team and management around technical leadership, responsiveness, and agility.

Our founding principles stem from a vision to be creators and defenders of a secure cyberspace, where our clients, their customers, and our nation’s citizens can enjoy the safety and security to operate and conduct business with efficiency and confidence. We strive for excellence in everything we do.

AIS Mission

Our mission is to define and develop generation-after-next concepts and capabilities to support and defend cyberspace.

We pursue this mission through research and development of technologies relevant to deterring deliberate threats and attacks on the United States information infrastructure. We focus on developing technologies that support information operations (IO), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and all phases of computer network operations (CNO).
